			<description>I&amp;rsquo;m sure you&amp;rsquo;ve noticed how some of the road surfaces used on the route of the Tour de France appear to have been paved or striped literally moments before the peloton passes through. This, in fact, happens to be the case. While Washington&amp;rsquo;s politicians think they have the market on pork cornered, they&amp;rsquo;ve got nothing on the Tour. It may well be the world&amp;rsquo;s biggest annual public works project.

			<description>Mike Wolfe (Missoula, Mont.) and Eric Skaden (Folsom, Calif.) combined efforts through the last 25 miles for a &quot;shared&quot; victory in 18:59:10, while Nikki Kimball (Bozeman, Mont.) won the women's title in 20:18:12, Saturday at the USA 100 Mile Trail Championships. This year's event was hosted by the 2008 Tahoe Rim Trail 50K/50M/100M Endurance Runs.

			<description>My father was a Glider Guider in World War II...and also somewhat of a raconteur, a most enthusiastic story teller. While this trait of his basically drove my mother crazy and delayed our departure from any event or gathering where there was the possibility of a willing audience (two ears would do), he did in fact have some pretty good stories to tell.
